Pipe Bursts, Floods Boys’ Locker Room

posted in: News | 0

Around 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, a pipe burst in the Boys’ Locker room, setting off the fire alarm during the annual MFS Dodgeball Tournament, which was taking place in the Field House gym. Students and faculty in the main building were safely evacuated as police and fire officials arrived at the scene.  Students were directed outdoors and then to the Dining Hall Commons to be picked up.

According to Mike Brunswick, Upper School Dean of Students, the tournament will be rescheduled at a later date. The current condition of the locker room and surrounding area are currently unknown.  Some backpacks have been retrieved from the locker rooms and are available to pick up in the Field House gym hallway.

This page will be updated as more information is released.
