Slimy Fish Toss Ends in a Tie? By Ishaan Shah

The sun was blazing on the second day of Spirit Week. Eight pairs of two took to the fields to compete in a slimy fish toss competition. Here is what they looked like:

Group A’s competition was a close one until the end. The final toss came down to the seniors and the juniors. Danya Weinstock ’22 took the initial toss to Connor Hull ’22 and successfully completed it. The Seniors went right afterward but were not able to toss the fish over the line, automatically disqualifying them.

The Group B’s competition was certainly an odd one. The freshmen were the first to be eliminated, missing the third toss. On the fourth toss, however, the sophomores, juniors, and seniors all missed. Dean of Students Will Miller called for a redo of the fourth round, however, the same result ensued. Miller decided to call the competition and allow for a three-way tie.

Here is how the Spirit Week rankings stand after day two. The juniors have taken a slight lead over the rest of the competition, while the freshmen lie in last place.
